PENGARUH APLIKASI BIOMASSA, KOMPOS, DAN WET ASH TERHADAP RASIO C/N TANAH PADA BUDIDAYA TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt) DI ULTISOL
Ultisol is a soil that is widespread in Indonesia with an acidic pH content and low availability of nutrients and organic material. Providing organic materials such as biomass, compost and wet ash are one of solution to repair biological and physical chemical properties because it has various types of nutrient content that can increase soil fertility. The aim of this study to find out the effect of biomass, compost and wet ash application on soil C/N ratio values in the cultivation of sweet corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Strurt) in Ultisol and obtain the best treatment combination of biomass, compost and wet ash doses on the ratio value. This research was carried out at the Soil Department Field Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and analysis of soil chemical properties was carried out at the Chemistry, Biology and Soil Fertility Laboratory, Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Research activities was carried out from November 2023 until March 2024. The method used in this research was a randomized block design, 16 treatments and repeated 4 times with sweet corn as indicator. The best C/N ratio among other treatments in the research at P9 (25% NPK + 25% Biomass + 65% Compost + 10% Wet ash) was 23.95 was included in the high criteria category. This was due to the lack of N nutrients in the soil and the high organic C in one. Keywords: Organic Mater, Sweet corn, C/N ratio, Ultisol
