KANDUNGAN Ca DAN Mg TANAH DAN TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) SEBAGAI RESPON PEMBERIAN BIOMASSA, KOMPOS DAN WET ASH DI ULTISOL
Medium density fibreboard (MDF) is a form of engineered wood product created by breaking down residual hardwood or softwood into wood fibers, usually in a defibrator, combining it with wax and resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. The MDF fiberboard manufacturing process produces several by-products, including biomass, compost, and Wet Ash. The purpose of this study is to determine or assess the concentration of Ca and Mg nutrients in the soil of sweet corn plants in ultisols that have been treated with biomass, compost, and Wet Ash. This research was conducted from November 2023 until completion. The research location was the Field Laboratory of the Soil Department, Sriwijaya University. The research method used was a field experiment with a Randomized Complete Block Design, 16 treatments, and 4 replications (3 replications with plants and 1 replication without plants), with sweet corn as the indicator plant. The conclusion drawn from the research results is that there is an increase in the content of Ca and Mg in Ultisol soil after the application of biomass, compost, and Wet Ash treatments, particularly in the P7 treatment.
