ANALISIS KESIAPSIAGAAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KEBAKARAN DI KECAMATAN SAKO KOTA PALEMBANG

The fires in the settlements are generally caused by electrical short currents, furnaces of both oil and gas, to candles and lamps. Besides, a fire can also be caused by a tiny thing like a cigarette. The highest number of fires occurred in residential buildings of 65.8%, shopping malls and malls of 9.3%, industrial buildings 7.2% and shops of 6.5%. According to BPS Kota Palembang fire disaster in the city of Palembang in 2022 is as many as 167 cases with the highest cases during the year 2020 – 2022 is in the district of Sako which is as much as 39 incidents. The study is aimed at analyzing the preparedness of the Sako district community for settlement fires. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional study design. The selection of respondents used the Lameshow formula with a total of 106 respondents and the method used was a questionnaire using a questionnaire that had passed the validity test. The results of the study show that as many as 70 communities (66%) have the level of community preparedness in the category ready, and the rest have the unpreparedness of 36 communities (44%) out of a total of 106 respondents. Some variables such as knowledge (p-value = 0.015), attitude (p - value = 0.021), emergency response plans (p – value = 0,000), disaster warning system relationships (p– value = 0.001), resource mobilization (p − value = 0,007), and education (p‐ value= 0.007) have meaningful relationships with public preparedness. Especially for the variables gender (p�value = 0.413), age (p - value = 0.632), employment (p – value = 1,000), and household type (p–value= 0.164) have no meaningful relationship with the preparedness of the community.
