PERANCANGAN BANGUNAN 3R DI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA KAMPUS INDRALAYA
Waste generation occurs due to the large amount of waste contained in an area generated by human activities, which means that the more activities carried out, the greater the amount of waste generated. In the scope of the campus, of course, there are many student activities, therefore good management of the waste generated is needed so as to reduce the amount of waste generation. In the scale of the university area, a 3R building can be used as a form of waste management with the 3R concept, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This study aims to determine the estimated value of waste generation in the Sriwijaya University Indralaya Campus area, design a 3R building as a strategic step in dealing with waste management problems, and get the estimated cost of the 3R building. This research consists of the stages of calculation, design, and cost budget. With this 3R building, it is expected that the amount of waste generated can be reduced and more useful. The measurement results show that the volume of waste generated by Sriwijaya University Indralaya Campus reaches 8.16 m3/day, with a total weight of 2.04125 ton/day, and the density of waste in the container is 0.25 ton/m3. This data is used to determine the land area required for the 3R building. From the analysis, the total land area required for the 3R Building at Sriwijaya University Indralaya Campus is 780 m2, with an estimated cost of 3R building needs of around Rp. 1,032,000,000.
