This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of training and development in improving performance at Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kota Palembang. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach. To obtain the data, the writer used the method of observation, interview, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, then drawing conclusions and verifying the data that has been founf in the study. From the results of this study it was found in that the method used at Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kota Palembang, namely, by providing formal development, empowerment, training with on the job training methods or direct training in the workplace, classroom methods, and E-learning methods. While the benefits of training and development at Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kota Palembang, namely: increasing the organization's ability to obtain and retain quality employees, increasing responsibility at work, reducing the frequency of work accident costs, forming attitudes, loyalty and more profitable cooperation, and increasing employee career path. The training and development programs conducted by Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kota Palembang which is quite effective in improving employee performance Keywords: Effectiveness, Training.
