HUBUNGAN LAMA MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS DENGAN TINGKAT STRES PADA PASIEN PENYAKIT GINJAL TAHAP AKHIR DI INSTALASI HEMODIALISIS RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2025
Background: End-stage renal disease requires patients to undergo long-term hemodialysis, which may lead to psychological impacts, including stress. The duration of hemodialysis is suspected to be associated with stress levels, yet data regarding patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang remain limited. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the duration of hemodialysis and stress levels among patients with end-stage renal disease. Methods: This study employed an observational analytic quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach involving 48 patients selected through consecutive sampling. The duration of hemodialysis was measured in months, while stress levels were assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS). The Shapiro–Wilk test indicated that both variables were not normally distributed (p < 0.05), therefore Spearman’s correlation test was used.
