PENGARUH PEMBERIAN STYROFOAM DAN SUPLEMEN YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP BENTUK SEL HEMOSIT DAN PERTUMBUHAN LARVA Tenebrio molitor L. (ULAT HONGKONG)

Az-Zahroh, Lokahita - Personal Name;

Tenebrio molitor larvae have the ability to degrade styrofoam, where the bacteria Exiguobacterium sp. strain YT2 and Pseudomonas aruginosa DSM50071 contained in its intestine play an important role through the secretion of extracellular enzymes play an important role through the secretion of extracellular enzymes. Research showed that most of the polystyrene from ingested styrofoam is converted into CO2 and smaller pieces of remaining smaller pieces of plastic. The larval feces contain polystyrene residues that have been degraded into small molecules, the result of the assimilation process into biomass. This study provides insights into the mechanism of styrofoam degradation by T. molitor larvae and implications for plastic biodegradation in the environment. This study identified five types of hemocyte cells present in T. molitor larvae, namely Prohemocytes, Oenocyte, Adipohemocyte, Granulocyte and Plasmatocyte, and describes their role in the larval immune response to infection in the larval immune response to infection. The important role of Hemocytes also play an important role in the growth of Tenebrio molitor larvae. Hemocytes function as the main nutrient transporters the main nutrient that distributes essential substances throughout the larval body supporting the growth process. In addition, through phagocytosis and the production of immune molecules, hemocytes also protect the larvae from larvae from infections that may interfere with their growth. The importance of balance in the number and function of hemocyte cells is highlighted, because changes in this can significantly affect larval health and growth, depending on environmental factors and the significantly, depending on environmental factors and specific environmental factors and conditions. Keywords: Hong Kong caterpillar (Tenebrio molitor), Styrofoam, Prebiotic Supplement, Probiotic Supplement
