ANALISIS KONDISI SANITASI DASAR WARUNG MAKAN DAN TINGKAT KEPADATAN LALAT DI WILAYAH PERIMETER PELABUHAN BOOMBARU PALEMBANG
lies are vectors of disease and their presence is an indication of poor hygiene in a place. Poor sanitation of food stalls can result in high levels of fly density resulting in disease transmission. This study aims to analyse the basic sanitation conditions of food stalls and the level of fly density in the perimeter area of Boombaru Port Palembang. This research is a qualitative study with observation, in-depth interviews and documentation methods and fly density measurements were taken using a fly grill. The sample of this study amounted to 3 food stalls with the number of informants in this study as many as 9 people consisting of 3 key informants and 6 informants. The results showed that the selection of food ingredients, storage of food ingredients, processing of food ingredients, storage of finished food, transportation of food and serving food were in good condition. The level of fly density in processing and serving places is included in the medium and high categories. The conclusion of this study is that food stalls have implemented food sanitation hygiene principles but there are several aspects that are not yet appropriate and the level of fly density is still high. It is suggested that it is necessary to apply sanitation according to established rules to prevent high fly density and the spread of disease through fly vectors.
