ANATOMI DAN STRUKTUR SEKRETORI MEMAYE (LEEA INDICA (BURM.F.) MERR) SEBAGAI TUMBUHAN OBAT KHAS SUKU BESEMAH UNTUK ANTIINFEKSI DAN DEGENERATIF DI KABUPATEN LAHAT, SUMATERA SELATAN

Purba, Febrin Yohana - Personal Name;

Leea Indica (Burm.f.) Merr (Memaye) is a shrub plant that is used by the Besemah tribe as a medicinal plant to treat infectious diseases such as hepatitis and warts and degenerative diseases such as liver. Seeing the potential of L. indica as a medicinal plant and the lack of information regarding its anatomy and secretory structure, this research aims to determine the anatomy and secretory structure of vegetative organs of Leea indica (Burm.f.) Merr) and to determine the distribution of secretory structures found in memaye organs. This research was conducted from November to March 2024, located in Sukamerindu District, Lahat Regency. This research uses descriptive method which is a method that describes the results of qualitative observations. Preparations were made using the paraffin method and whole mount method. The results of anatomical observations and secretory structures of leaves are composed of epidermis, palisade parenchyma and sponges, vascular tissue, obtained secretory cavities, 2 types of idioblast cells (black idioblasts and brown idioblasts), lithosis, cystolith and drus crystals. Stems are composed of epidermal tissue, collenchyma, parenchyma, sclerenchyma, vascular tissue, pith, rosette crystals and 2 types of idioblast cells (black idioblasts and brown idioblasts). Roots are composed of cork cells, basic tissue, vascular tissue, pith and were found to have idioblast cells, rosette crystals and amylum. The secretory structure in L. indica is in the form of secretory cavities and idioblast cells that are scattered in the leaves, stems and roots. This secretory structure acts as a storage place for secondary metabolite compounds.
