PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP LARVA IKAN SEPAT RAWA (Trichopodus trichopterus) PADA WADAH PEMELIHARAAN DENGAN WARNA BERBEDA
JAVITA PUTRI AULIA. The Growth and Survival Rate of Three Spot Gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus) Larvae in Culture Tank with Different Color (Supervised by MIRNA FITRANI and FERDINAND HUKAMA TAQWA). The color of the tank can impact the growth and survival of fish larvae. A study observed how different tank colors affect three spot gourami larvae after they absorb their yolk sac. This research occurred at the Aquaculture Laboratory and Experimental Pond, Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya between December 2023 and January 2024. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications, namely P1 (green tank), P2 (blue tank), P3 (black tank), and P4 (white tank). Three spot gourami larvae with an initial body length of 3.60±0.17 mm and initial body weight of 0.031±0.005 g were stocked in an aquarium with a density of 10 fish L-1. The research found that the tank's color significantly influenced the larvae's growth and survival. The larvae in green tanks (P1) exhibited the best performance, with a 74.07±2.95% survival rate, absolute weight growth of 0.051±0.004 g, absolute length growth of 8.37±0.32 mm, and a feed consumption level of 0.27±0.02 g. The behavior of the three spot gourami changed after 14 days of rearing, and the fastest response to recognizing food was 18.92±1.69 seconds. Water quality for all treatments obtained during rearing was as follows: temperature 27.6-31.9°C, pH 6.5-7.8, and dissolved oxygen 4.15-5.25 mg L-1. Keywords: fish larvae, tank color, three spot of gourami
