POTENSI ANTAGONISME ACTINOMYCETES DARI TANAH RAWA TAMAN FIRDAUS TERHADAP FUNGI Colletotrichum capsici IPBCC.13.1098
Fungi Colletotrichum spp. especially Colletotrichum capsici is a pathogenic fungus that causes anthracnose disease in chili plants. Efforts to control anthracnose disease that have been made to date are the application of synthetic fungicides. Biological control agents are the use of living organisms, biological processes or products of biological processes to reduce or suppress the abundance of disease-causing organisms and avoid contact of pathogenic organisms with useful organisms. The use of biological control agents as an alternative in minimizing the use of chemical fungicides because they contain antifungal compounds, for example Actinomycetes Actinomycetes have a wide habitat and can be isolated from terrestrial soil, plant root rhizosphere, and marine sediments. This research is important to do in an effort to control pathogens in plants through biological control agents. This study aims to determine Actinomyetes isolates from Taman Firdaus Swamp Soil that have the potential to inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum capsici IPBCC.13.1098. and determine the character and identity of Actinomycetes that have the potential to inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum capsici IPBCC.13.1098. The results obtained by three Actinomycetes isolates from Taman Firdaus Swamp Soil, ACT 1, ACT2, ACT 3, ACT4 and ACT 5 based on the antagonism test had potential in inhibiting the growth of Colletotrichum capsici IPBCC.13.1098. Isolates ACT 1, ACT 3, and ACT 5 were successfully characterized and identified with ACT 1 and ACT 3 as Nocardia, while ACT 3 as Streptomyces.
