MODIFIKASI ALUMINA SILIKA DENGAN TEMPLATE KHFTALAT SEBAGAI PENGEMBAN LOGAM Ni-Mo UNTUK KATALIS HYDROCRACKING CRUDE PALM OIL MENJADI BIOGASOLINE DAN BIOAVTUR
The research was conducted on the modification of alumina silica using a KHPthalate template as a carrier of Ni-Mo metal for hydrocracking catalysts for crude palm oil (CPO) into biogasoline and bioavtur. The concentration variations used were 5% and 25% with the addition based on the ratio of alumina nitrate in the catalyst synthesis. The hydrocracking process was carried out at 350°C for 2 hours. The catalyst characterization was carried out using various techniques, including XRD, FTIR, PSA, BET, SEM-EDX, TPD-NH₃, and product analysis using GC-MS. The catalyst with a composition of 25 Ni-Mo/Al₂O₃.SiO₂ KHPthalate template showed the best performance based on the characterization results. The XRD diffractogram results show the intensity of Ni at 2θ = 33.40° and Mo at 2θ = 13.01°. The FTIR spectrum showed an absorption band at wave number 539,82 cm-¹ which indicates the presence of Ni-O bond vibrations. The particle size of the catalyst analyzed using Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) was 7,82 µm. The specific surface area of the catalyst calculated based on BET method was 9,20 m²/g. Analysis using SEM-EDX showed the elemental ratio of aluminum to silica was 1:15, with nickel metal content of 1,35% and molybdenum of 1,78%. The acidity of the catalyst obtained based on TPD-NH₃ analysis was 1,53 mmol/g. Product analysis using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) showed that the 25 Ni-Mo/Al₂O₃.SiO₂ catalyst based on KHPthalate template was able to produce a total conversion of 94,93%, biogasoline yield was recorded at 13,11%, while bioavtur yield reached 51,83%.
