OPTIMASI RANCANGAN DESAIN PIT BERDASARKAN BATAS WILAYAH KERJA DENGAN MEMPERHITUNGKAN TARIF KONTRAK BATUBARA DI PT ULIMA NITRA, TBK. SITE WIRADUTA SEJAHTERA LANGGENG, PIT BLOK 2 DUE MUARA ENIM, SUMATERA SELATAN
Pit design optimization is a crucial stage in mining operations as it determines the final pit limit that is technically and economically optimal. This study was conducted at PT Ulima Nitra, Tbk., Wiraduta Sejahtera Langgeng Site, Pit Block 2 DUE, Muara Enim, South Sumatra. The aim of this research is to design an optimized pit by considering the mining boundary and coal contract price to maximize company profits. The Incremental Pit Expansion method was applied by conducting a step-by-step evaluation ofseveral pit scenarios based on stripping ratio and profit margin. The results show that the optimal pit design for 2025 has a potential coal production of 436,897 tons and overburden removal of 1,422,893 BCM, with a stripping ratio of 3.25 and a potential profit of approximately IDR 18,455,340,742.97. This planning demonstrates that determining pit limits integrated with boundary conditions and coal contract rates is essential to maximizing operational efficiency and profitability within an annual production period.
