Introduction: Household chores involve various positions and movements that often lead to musculoskeletal complaints, including those related to the use of the dominant foot. Foot dominance is measured based on the tendency to use one foot in daily activities. The impact of the predominantly used side on balance can be assessed through testing techniques. This study aims to explore the effects of foot dominance on balance and musculoskeletal complaints in the lower extremities among housewives. Methods: This research an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach and consecutive sampling technique. The study subjects consisted of 100 housewives from RW 16, Bukit Lama Subdistrict. Balance was assessed using static balance standing stork test and dynamic balance functional reach test, while musculoskeletal complaints in the lower extremities were identified using the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ). Results: The study results indicated no significant association between foot dominance and balance (p>0.05) and there was no significant relationship between the use of the dominant foot and lower extremity musculoskeletal complaints (p>0.05). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the use of the dominant foot for balance and lower extremity musculoskeletal complaints in housewives.
