HUBUNGAN ASUPAN ZAT GIZI MAKRO MAKAN SIANG DAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA TAHUN 2024
One of the fundamental aspects of nutritional problems arises due to food intake. The imbalance between food intake and the body's needs leads to nutritional issues, including both overnutrition and undernutrition. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the intake of macronutrients at lunch and physical activity with nutritional status among students at Sriwijaya University. This research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method. The sample comprises active students from Sriwijaya University from the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 who have lunch at the canteen of the Sriwijaya University Faculty in Indralaya, with a total sample size of 102 students using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted univariately and bivariately using the chisquare test. Univariate analysis results showed that 55 (53.9%) students had normal nutritional status, while 47 (46.1%) students had abnormal nutritional status. The statistical test results indicated that lunch energy intake (p-value = 0.000), lunch carbohydrate intake (p-value = 0.000), lunch protein intake (p-value = 0.001), lunch fat intake (p-value = 0.006), and physical activity (p-value = 0.008) had significant relationships with nutritional status. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between lunch energy intake, lunch carbohydrate intake, lunch protein intake, lunch fat intake, and physical activity with the nutritional status of students at Sriwijaya University in 2024. The recommendation from this study is that students should pay attention to their food intake and portion sizes according to their daily needs and consume a variety of foods such as staple foods, side dishes, vegetables, and fruits.
