Pre-marital nutritional status in adolescent girls affects their health status during pregnancy and childbirth if they become mothers. Adolescent girls are vulnerable to nutritional issues such as Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and anemia. One factor that can influence CED and anemia is knowledge and attitude. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitude with pre-marital nutritional status (ages 15-19 years) at SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul Tanjung Enim. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of 53 female students from SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul, and the sampling technique used was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The univariate test results showed that 71.7% of respondents had poor knowledge, 47.2% of respondents had a negative attitude, 54.5% of respondents experienced CED, and 50.9% of respondents had anemia. The bivariate results indicated a relationship between knowledge and CED (p-value = 0.023) and anemia (p-value = 0.012) in pre-marital adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul. However, there was no relationship between attitude and CED (p-value = 0.921) and anemia (p-value = 0.897) in pre-marital adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul. It was concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and CED and anemia in pre-marital adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul, and no relationship between attitude and CED and anemia in pre-marital adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Lawang Kidul. Adolescent girls are advised to improve their knowledge and attitudes regarding chronic energy deficiency (CED) and anemia, and to increase their intake of energy- and protein-rich foods as well as iron-rich foods. Additionally, schools should monitor the regular consumption of iron supplements (TTD) among adolescent girls.
