PERBANDINGAN TOLERANSI SALURAN CERNA TERHADAP KECEPATAN PEMBERIAN NUTRISI ENTERAL SECARA INTERMITEN DAN BOLUS PADA ANAK DENGAN VENTILASI MEKANIK
Critically ill children have complex nutritional needs and require intensive nutritional support to prevent organ dysfunction. This study evaluated differences in gastrointestinal tolerance to intermittent and bolus enteral nutrition rates in children on mechanical ventilation. A single-blind, randomized, controlled trial was conducted from May 2024 to March 2025 at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang, and involved 60 subjects. Subjects were children aged 1 month to 6 years who were non-randomized to receive intermittent (n=30) or bolus (n=30) nutrition. Gastrointestinal tolerance was assessed based on the presence or absence of vomiting, diarrhea, and flatulence. The secondary outcomes observed were length of stay in the PICU, duration of mechanical ventilation, and adverse events. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test and Fisher's exact test with statistical significance level at p
