STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE DENGAN VARIASI UKURAN GLASS POWDER

Fadjrin, Muhamad - Personal Name;

Lightweight concrete is a type of concrete that has a lighter specific gravity than normal concrete. Foam concrete is included in lightweight concrete because its specific gravity is relatively lower than concrete in general. Foam concrete is made by pre-foamed method with chemical mixing and foaming. Glass powder can be used as a pore filler or filler. This research uses variations in glass powder size of 10 mesh, 30 mesh, and 50 mesh with a percentage of glass powder of 20%, 30%, and 40%, the volume ratio of foam and slurry used is 0.3 and 0.7 and a w/c variation of 0.5. Fresh concrete testing in the form of setting time test and slump flow test, while for hard concrete testing in the form of testing compressive strength, specific gravity, and modulus of elasticity. Based on the setting time test on lightweight concrete with a value of 20% GP percentage variation; 50 mesh size variation with an initial setting time of 196 minutes and a final setting time of 402 minutes has the fastest binding time compared to other size variations. Based on the slump flow value, the specimen with 40% GP percentage variation; 10 mesh size variation has the highest workability value compared to other variations. The test results of specific gravity, compressive strength, and modulus of elasticity on the test specimens of the 20% GP percentage variation; 50 mesh size variation after curing in water for 28 days has the largest value compared to other variations, which are 1398 kg/m3; 3.18 MPa; and 8134,66682 MPa.
