FAKTOR RISIKO KEJADIAN KOMORBID HIPERTENSI PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS
Background : Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease with a high prevalence and is frequently accompanied by hypertension, which increases the risk of vascular complications and imposes a substantial burden on quality of life and healthcare costs. It is estimated that approximately 40–80% of patients with diabetes also have hypertension; therefore, identifying risk factors associated with hypertensive comorbidity in patients with diabetes mellitus is essential. Methods : This analytical observational study employed a case–control design involving patients with diabetes mellitus at Dempo, Merdeka, and Kampus Primary Health Centers in Palembang City. A total of 134 patients were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 67 patients with hypertensive comorbidity (cases) and 67 patients without hypertensive comorbidity (controls).
