PERENCANAAN DESAIN LERENG TIMBUNAN PADA DESAIN LIFE OF MINE (LOM) DI PIT X PT BUKIT ASAM TBK
PT Bukit Asam Tbk, Ombilin Mining Unit, plans to resume mining activities in the Langkok area, Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. At the mine development stage, it is necessary to prepare a safe and efficient slope dump design as part of the Life of Mine (LOM) plan. A single-slope simulation was carried out to analyze slope geometry under the safest and most optimal conditions based on the calculated Safety Factor (FK). The stability analysis of the dump slope was conducted using the Morgenstern Price method with the Mohr-Coulomb failure assumption, supported by Geostudio Slope/W 2024 software. The analysis focused on two cross-sections, namely section A-A' and section B-B', by simulating two different groundwater conditions: one with the water table at a depth of 16 meters from the slope surface, and another under fully saturated conditions where the water table is assumed to be parallel to the surface. The stability of the dump slope in section A-A’ falls into the stable category, while section B-B' ranges from stable to critical, with Safety Factor (FK) values between 0.837 and 1.563. Referring to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1827K of 2018, the recommended overall slope design was developed to ensure slope stability under saturated conditions, yielding a Safety Factor (FK) of 1.501.
