ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN PERINGATAN DARURAT (STUDI PADA PORTAL BERITA CNNINDONESIA.COM DAN KOMPAS.COM)

The news coverage of the "Democracy Emergency Warning" by CNNIndonesia.com and Kompas.com was a response to the Constitutional Court Decision No. 60/PUU-XXII/2024 concerning the age limit for regional head candidates. This study aims to analyze how the issue was framed using the Framing theory of William A. Gamson and Andre Modigliani, applying a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal similarities between the two media outlets in terms of source selection and the linkage of the issue to political and legal contexts. However, they differ in presentation style and focus. Kompas.com emphasizes symbolic and moral aspects, while CNNIndonesia.com highlights factual reporting and political conflict. These findings demonstrate the significant role of the media in shaping public opinion through discourse construction.
