STUDI AWAL KARAKTERISTIK MAGNETOKALORIK Co1-xCuxFe2O4
This research is an initial study of the characteristics of magnetocaloric materials by engineering the cobalt ferrite system. The cobalt ferrite material will be doped with the element cupper (Cu) which has good electrical properties. This is done to improve its conductivity properties in addition to the presence of Cu atoms can reduce the magnetic hysteresis of the CoFe2O4 material. The method used in synthesising Co1-xCuxFe2O4 material is material synthesis using solid state reaction method using HEM (High Energy Milling) tool. XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) test results show single phase and space group cubic crystal system Fd-3m. From SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) testing, the morphology and structure are irregular and agglomeration occurs, and the resulting particle size is in the range of 600-2000 nm. VSM (Vibrating Sample Magnetometer) test results show the material is classified as soft magnetic and ferromagnetic. The composition of X = 0.1 shows a reduction in magnetic hysteresis with Mr 0.709 emu/gr, Ms 3.176 emu/gr, and Hc 746.5 Oe.
