PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BIOBOOST TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN RUMPUT PAKCHONG (PENNISETUM PURPUREUM CV. THAILAND)
Forage feed is the main feed for ruminants in addition to concentrate feed. Forage feed can come from agricultural waste such as rice straw, corn stover, sugarcane tops, mustard waste and others. The availability of forage feed, both quantity and quality, which is still low, is an obstacle in Indonesia, resulting in low livestock productivity, especially ruminants. One solution to overcome the problem of forage availability is to utilize marginal lands or less productive lands by planting grasses that are easy to cultivate and develop. One grass that is easy to grow and develop is pakchong grass. Pakchong grass is planted with the addition of bioboost organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of applying bioboost fertilizer with different concentrations on the growth of pakchong grass on marginal land. This research was conducted from December 2023 to February 2024 in the ruminant experimental cage of the Department of Ternology and Animal Husbandry Industry, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted using a group randomized design with 4 treatments 3 replications, namely P1: without the provision of bioboost fertilizer (control), P2: the provision of bioboost fertilizer at a dose of 900 ml / 600 ml of water, P3: the provision of bioboost fertilizer at a dose of 1100 ml / 400 ml of water, P4: the provision of bioboost fertilizer at a dose of 1300 ml / 200 ml of water. The result of this study is the application of bioboost fertilizer with the specified dose has a real effect (P
