PENILAIAN RISIKO KESEHATAN AKIBAT PAPARAN GAS CL2 (CHLORINE) PADA PEKERJA BAGIAN UTILITAS PABRIK II-B PT X PALEMBANG TAHUN 2023.
Chlorine gas (chlorine) is a chemical that has the potential to cause death or death if exposed in a state of not using protective equipment (unprotected population) which lasts a short time. It is known that chlorine gas content of more than 40 ppm can cause health effects in the form of toxic pneumonitis, pulmonary edema and death, with an exposure duration of between 5 - 30 minutes. In one of the large-capacity production sections at PT X Palembang, Chlorine was found to be used as a chemical in its operating process. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) is the method used in this study. So that the results of the health risk assessment from exposure to chlorine use will be obtained, especially for workers. From a total of 5 informants, the results of the study showed that the Risk Assessment Evaluation or Risk Rating (RR) of workers in the P-IIB Utility section of PT X Palembang was 16, which is included in the High Risk category, the Risk Level Assessment for Dermal Exposure is included in the Medium Risk category. The Control Action Value that has been carried out based on the Risk Rating = 16 and direct observation, namely Inadequate, is included in the Action Priority 1 (AP-1) category, so further control measures are needed.
