ANGKA KEJADIAN DAN FAKTOR RISIKO PROLAPSUS ORGAN PANGGUL DI RSUD SITI FATIMAH PALEMBANG PERIODE 2023-2025
Background. Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is one of the most common pelvic floor disorders affecting women. This condition is caused by weakening of the pelvic floor supportive structures, with risk factors including age, obesity, menopause, parity, vaginal delivery, and a history of pelvic surgery. This study aims to determine the incidence of POP at RSUD Siti Fatimah Palembang and to identify the risk factors associated with this condition. Methods. This study is a descriptive study that collected medical record data of patients with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) during the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 August 2025. The data obtained included number of incidence, POP according to the involved anatomical organ, age, body mass index (BMI), menopausal status, parity history, history of mode of delivery, history of pelvic surgery, and management. Data analysis was performed descriptively using statistical software to describe the frequency distribution of patients. Results. Of the 16 patients who met the inclusion criteria, the results showed an annual increase in the incidence of POP, with the majority of cases occurring in 2024 (62.5%). Most cases involved uterine prolapse (50%), patients aged over 65 years (43.75%), and were managed either conservatively or operatively (50%). Among the 12 samples with available BMI data, the majority were classified as having an ideal BMI (66.7%). One sample was identified as having been postmenopausal for five years, five samples had a parity history entirely within the multiparous category, and four samples had a history of delivery exclusively via vaginal birth. No samples were found to have a history of pelvic surgery. Conclusion. The incidence of POP increased annually, with the majority of cases being uterine prolapse. Most patients were aged over 65 years. Management approaches were evenly distributed between conservative and operative treatments. Keywords. Pelvic organ prolapse, risk factors
