RANCANG BANGUN DETEKTOR CH4 DI UDARA BERBASIS IOT MIKROKONTROLLER ESP 32
Methane gas is one of the main contributors to global warming and is difficult to detect directly because it is colorless, identification often relies on a distinctive odor, and exposure to high concentrations can be dangerous to health. Therefore, in this research, the design of a methane gas (CH4) detection device was developed. based on IoT ESP 32 which includes hardware and software to measure methane gas levels in the air and verify the level of accuracy and precision. The detector designed using the MQ-04 sensor and IoT-based ESP32 microcontroller was successfully connected to the internet, enabling real-time monitoring of methane gas levels via the Blynk application. The test results show that this tool has an average accuracy of 99.194% and an average precision of 97.299%, with average error values of 2.0800%, 0.3235% and 0.0117% respectively. The methane gas detection tool developed has proven to be effective in measuring methane gas levels with high accuracy and precision and can display data automatically real-time, supports monitoring and overcoming health risks related to methane gas.
