PERFORMA PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP IKAN BETOK (Anabas testudineus) PADA PEMBERIAN INTENSITAS CAHAYA YANG BERBEDA
Climbing perch production still depends on natural catches because climbing perch cultivation has not been carried out intensively. Growth of climbing perch is still relatively slow. One alternative that can be done to increase the growth of climbing perch is by regulating light intensity. This study almed to determine the amount of light intensity for the growth and survival of climbing perch. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications, that is P1 light intensity 0 lux, P2 light intensity 250 lux, P3 light intensity 500 lux, and P4 light intensity 750 lux. Climbing perch rearing was performed for 30 days. This study showed that differences in light intensity had significant effect on the absolute length growth, absolute weight growth and feed efficiency. However, differences in light intensity did not have significant effect on blood glucose levels and survival rate. P3 was the best treatment which resulted absolute length growth 0.64 cm, absolute weight growth 1.02 g, feed effieciency 26.90%, blood glucose levels 62.50 mg dL-1 , and survival rate 94.44%. The water quality values during rearing were suitable for rearing climbing perch.
