EFEK TERATOGENIK FRAKSI ETIL ASETAT DAUN MELINJO (Gnetum gnemon L.) PADA FETUS MENCIT (Mus musculus) GALUR SUB SWISS WEBSTER
One of the special toxicity tests is the teratogenic test which is carried out to obtain information on the presence of fetal abnormalities that occur due to the administration of test preparations during the formation of fetal organs (organogenesis period) and to complete safety data from the melinjo plant. The doses given were 69.48, 104.22, 138.96 and 173.7 mg/kgBW. The administration of the fraction was carried out during the period of organogenesis on the 9th to 17th day of pregnancy, on the 18th day the mother mice were dissected to observe fetal body weight, live fetuses, dead fetuses, implantation, resorption, fetal external abnormalities, and fetal internal abnormalities. The results of data analysis with ANOVA and DMRT (Duncan multiple range test) provided that the ethyl acetate fraction of melinjo leaves had a significant effect on dead fetuses, weight gain, fetus weight gain, fetus length, hematoma, the delay in bone ossification including the interparietal bone, sacrocaudal vertebral body, sacrocaudal vertebral arch, sternal bone (asymmetrical shaped defect and asymmetrical dumbbell-shaped defect), anterior proximal phalanges and posterior proximal phalanges (p
