HUBUNGAN KONSEP DIRI DENGAN PERENCANAAN KARIR SISWA SMK NEGERI 6 PALEMBANG

Career planning is a process that individuals have to organize and design preparations for selecting jobs and further studies so that an individual's future can be realized. However, career planning is certainly influenced by several factors, one of which is self-concept. This study aims to determine the relationship between self concept and career planning in class XI students of SMK Negeri 6 Palembang. This research is a study that uses a quantitative approach with the correlation method. The data collection technique in this study used data collection in the form of a Likert scale obtained through the distribution of questionnaire instruments via the google form. The population in this study were 436 student with a "proportional random sampling" technique with a total of 81 students as the research sample. The data analysis technique in this study is to use the pearson product moment formula. From the results of data analysis, it shows the relationship between self and career planning the correlation coefficient rxy is obtained with a value of rhitung = 0,585 and the number of 81 respondents with a significant level of 5% means that rtable value of 0.218 is obtained so that the hypothesis test is rcount > rtable, then H0 is rejected H1 is acceptad. This the degree of correlation is in the moderate/high. This means that there is a significant positive relationship between self concept and career planning. If students' self concept is more positive, then students career planning will be good too. It is hoped that BK teachers can provide service assistance and collaborate with related parties to continue to improve self-concept and develop career planning.
