STUDI KARAKTERISTIK DAN MIKROSTRUKTUR BETON DENGAN AGREGAT BUATAN GEOPOLIMER DENGAN METODE CRUSHING
The increasing use of concrete in construction work is increasingly causing natural aggregates to deplete their availability, whereas the demand for concrete is increasing because concrete is an important element in a construction. By utilizing fly ash waste to make artificial aggregates can help reduce environmental pollution. Currently, Geopolymer Concrete with fly ash waste has begun to spread to construction elements, therefore this study will conduct a study of the characteristics and microstructure of concrete with fly ash-based artificial aggregates. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics and microstructure of concrete with artificial aggregate geopolymer crushing method. The constituent materials of concrete are cement, water, sand, natural coarse aggregate, and artificial coarse aggregate. In this study, the compressive strength of concrete with a target compressive strength of fc’ 25 Mpa and scanning electron microscope (SEM) testing. In the compressive strength test, both natural aggregate concrete and artificial aggregate concrete met the target of 28.976 Mpa and 23.418 Mpa. The compressive strength of artificial aggregate concrete is lower because artificial aggregate has more pores than natural aggregate, and also the bond between paste and aggregate in natural concrete is tighter than concrete with artificial aggregate. This can be seen from the test results of scanning electron microscope (SEM).
