EVALUASI PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI AKSESI JAGUNG MANIS UNGU GENERASI F1 HASIL PERSILANGAN VARIETAS BIMMO DENGAN JAGUNG UNGU UNSRI
This study aims to produce growth, production, segregation, and selection of several purple sweet corn accessions (UJ3UBM and BM) and produce the next generation of seeds. It was carried out in Sepang Village, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province, in June-October 2024, with a randomized block plan of three cross blocks, a spacing of 80 on x 40 on. Data were analyzed using Anova at α 5% with the SAS program. The results showed that the F1 generation could grow well, producing baby corn, sweet corn, and F2 seeds. Seed color was segregated into white and purple. The average height of sweet corn plants was 228.1 cm, baby corn 215.5 cm, the height of the sweet corn cob was 112 an, baby corn and purple sweet corn was 36 days after planting, and the age of flowering in purple baby corn was 41 days after planting. Purple baby corn was harvested at 50 days after planting with a fresh weight of 43.93 g per ear and a sugar content of 7.9% Brix. Purple sweet corn was harvested at 65 days after planting with a fresh weight of 237.8 g per ear and a sugar content of 8.9% Brix. Purple corn seeds had a sugar content of 7.5%. nineteen purple ears with a clear seed coat were obtained, subtable for further variety development research. Key words: Evaluation, F1 Generation, Purple Sweet Corn
