PENGARUH DOSIS KOMPOS AMPAS TEBU TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) PADA PRE-NURSERY
This study aims to determine the effect of bagasse compost doses on oil palm seedlings' growth and whether the correct dose can provide optimal effects. This study was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University research land in September-November. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with six treatments and four replications. Each treatment consisted of three plants, and one sample was taken from each experimental unit. The treatments in this study consisted of: P0 = Without bagasse compost (control), P1 = 100 g of bagasse compost, P2 = 200 g of bagasse compost, P3 = 300 g of bagasse compost, P4 = 400 g of bagasse compost, and P5 = 500 g of bagasse compost. The variables observed included seedling height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, leaf thickness, primary root length, soil pH, wet weight and dry weight. The observation data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) by comparing F count and F table. If there is a significant effect, the analysis is continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the P4 treatment (400 g of bagasse compost) increased the optimal growth of oil palm seedlings compared to other treatments, as indicated by stem diameter, leaf width, primary root length, wet weight and dry weight.
