PARTISIPASI PEREMPUAN DALAM PROGRAM KAMPUNG IKLIM DI DESA PULAU SEMAMBU KECAMATAN INDRALAYA UTARA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Women's participation is crucial in ensuring the success of government programs, including the climate village program. Women's participation is very important in climate village program activities in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research aims to identify forms of women's participation in each stage of the climate village program as well as factors that encourage and hinder women's involvement. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and uses a phenomenological strategy. By using Cohen and Uphoff's concept of participation, the results of this research show that there are forms of women's participation in Pulau Semambu Village, starting from participation in decision making, implementation, utilization of results, as well as participation in evaluations carried out in discussion forums. Meanwhile, the driving factors for women's participation that women feel in taking part in pro-climate activities are family support which gives them permission to take part in activities, then there is also awareness within themselves of the importance of change to create a clean environment, and the influence friend environment, where a supportive friend environment plays an important role in encouraging women to actively participate in the Climate Village program, thereby having a positive impact on individuals, society and the environment. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are limitations in decision making, where the decision making process is dominated by the village government, related agencies and only a few communities.
