BIODIVERSITAS SUMBERDAYA IKAN HASIL TANGKAPAN PORTABLE TRAPS (BUBU) PADA EKOSISTEM TERUMBU KARANG, PULAU PURA, KABUPATEN ALOR, NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR
Reef fish in a body of water is an indication of how much productivity is produced. Reef fish diversity is strongly influenced by the existence of coral reef ecosystems. Lately, coral reef ecosystems face many threats so that they have the potential to experience degradation which will affect the diversity of reef fish. This study aims to determine the biodiversity of fish resources caught by bubu (portable traps) and the influence of oceanographic parameters on biodiversity in coral reef ecosystems in Pura Island Waters, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Fish resources caught by bubu in the east season were found to be 12 families and 24 species. The most dominating species is Chaetodon kleinii with a composition of 20 individuals (23,81%), abundance of 6,369 ind/m2 (19,67%) and frequency of presence found at 5 stations (83,33%) with very frequent criteria. The most dominating reef fish category is the target group with 34 individuals (40%) from 11 species. The major category is 30 individuals (36%) of 12 species and the indicator category is 20 individuals (24%) of 1 species. The value of reef fish biodiversity diversity index (H') ranged between 1,06 – 2,12 in the medium category, the value of the uniformity index (E) ranged between 0,33 – 0,67 has a category from low to high and the dominance index value ranged between 0,33 – 0,67 is in the low category. Environmental parameters that influence the value of diversity and uniformity are DO and pH, while the current speed value has an influence on the dominance value.
