PERAN UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN’S FUND (UNICEF) TERHADAP PENANGANAN KASUS KEKERASAN SEKSUAL ANAK SECARA ONLINE DI THAILAND

Thailand has a serious problem with cases of online child sexual violence which continue to increase. This is an urgency for the Thailand’s government. Therefore, UNICEF as an international children’s organization assists the Thailand’s government in handling cases of online child sexual violence. In this thesis, researchers conducted research to find out how UNICEF as an international organization handles cases of online child sexual violence in Thailand. Researchers use descriptive research with qualiative data. The sourch of data obtained by researchers is secondary data. The research results obtained were that UNICEF handled cases of online child sexual violence in Thailand using theory of Archer of the role of international organizations. The first role is UNICEF as an instrument, where UNICEF has Child Protection programme and The #CautionFirst campaign. This policy will be ratified by the Thailand state and established as the Child Protection Act, B.E 2546. The second role is UNICEF as an arena, where UNICEF held two day conference in Thailand. The agenda for the conference was to discuss urgent handling of online child sexual violence cases in Thailand. Lastly, UNICEF as an actor, where UNICEF made some policy independently, without any intervention. Thus, UNICEF’s role in handling cases of online sexual violence contributes significantly to the theory Archer of international organization.
