PENGUKURAN KESIAPAN ADOPSI TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI (IT ADOPTION) PADA MASYARAKAT TANI DESA GELEBAK DALAM KEC. RAMBUTAN DENGAN METODE TECHNOLOGY READINESS INDEX
The development of information technology has great potential to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the agricultural sector; however, its success largely depends on the readiness of its users, particularly farmers in rural areas. This study aims to measure the level of information technology adoption readiness among the farmers of Gelebak Dalam Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency, using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) method. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection through a Likert-scale questionnaire based on the four TRI dimensions: optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity. The study respondents consisted of 34 farmers selected using a total sampling technique. The results show that the level of information technology adoption readiness among the farmers is in the moderate category (medium technology readiness), with the dimensions of optimism and innovativeness showing values. The research results show that the level of information technology adoption readiness among farmers is in the medium category, with the optimism and innovativeness dimensions showing relatively higher values compared to the discomfort and insecurity dimensions. These findings indicate that farmers have a positive view of the benefits of technology but still face challenges in the form of discomfort and concerns regarding its use. Based on these results, this study recommends the need to improve digital literacy, provide continuous assistance, and ensure the active role of village governments and agricultural extension workers to promote effective and sustainable readiness for adopting information technology in the village agricultural sector.
