EFEK MIKROPLASTIK POLIPROPILEN (PP) DAN LOGAM BERAT KADMIUM (Cd) TUNGGAL DAN KOMBINASI KEDUANYA PADA ENZIM PENCERNAAN LIPASE KERANG DARAH (ANADARA GRANOSA)
Microplastics and heavy metals are aquatic pollutants that have the poten tial to disrupt the physiological functions of marine organisms, including blood clams (Anadara granosa) as filter feeders. This study aims to analyze the effect of exposure to polypropylene (PP) microplastics, cadmium (Cd) heavy metals, and their combination on lipase digestive enzyme activity. The experiment was con ducted over seven days with four treatment groups: control, PP alone, Cd alone, and the combination of PP+Cd. Lipase activity was measured periodically using spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 715 nm and analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc test. The results showed that exposure to PP or Cd alone tended to decrease lipase enzyme activity compared to the control, although adaptive fluctuations occurred on day 5. Conversely, the PP+Cd combination caused a significant increase in lipase activity on day 7, indicating a synergistic effect and higher potential for oxidative stress. Statistical tests confirmed a significant dif ference (p < 0.05) in the combination treatment compared to the single treat ments. Conclusion: The combination of microplastic and heavy metal exposure can exacerbate enzymatic disturbances in the digestive system (Anadara granosa), In conclusion, combined exposure to microplastics and heavy metals can exacerbate enzymatic disorders in the digestive system (Anadara granosa), thereby impacting marine biota health and ecosystem balance.
