IMPLIKASI KEBIJAKAN THE GREAT FIREWALL OF CHINA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN PEREKONOMIAN TIONGKOK

The Great Firewall of China is a term used to refer to the system of internet censorship and surveillance implemented by the Chinese government. The system includes various techniques and technologies to block access to foreign websites, filter online content deemed sensitive and monitor the internet activities of Chinese citizens. This policy was considered to hamper China's national economy, but the opposite happened, this policy was actually able to encourage the development of strong local alternatives and technological innovation. The impact of The Great Firewall was not only limited to technology companies, but also included commercial ones. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method by searching and matching previously existing data, which is secondary data. The economic increase can be seen from the in how China's economic income from year to year, and can be proven by the existence of Baidu, which is now a technology giant in China and the world.
