ANALISIS PENENTUAN ISIAN BAHAN PELEDAK MAKSIMUM DAN DELAY PADA BLASTING UNTUK MENGONTROL GROUND VIBRATION DI PIT BENGGERIS, PT THIESS CONTRACTORS INDONESIA
PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia is a multinational company that provides contracting services for coal mining. In the process of removing overburden using blasting techniques, it certainly produces waste energy, one of which is ground vibration. The results of ground vibration measurements in November-December 2023 exceeded 2 mm/second, exceeding the threshold of Kep-49/MENLH/11/1996. This has the potential to cause negative impacts on the environment if not controlled. This study aims to compare ground vibration predictions from the USBM, Langefors-Kihlstrom, and Ambraseys-Hendron equations with actual data, and determine the maximum explosive charge and optimal delay period to control ground vibration. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data in the form of Peak Particle Velocity, number of explosive charges, and distance to obtain the scaled distance value and determine the value of K and e in the prediction equation. The results show that the USBM method is more accurate in predicting ground vibration. The maximum explosive charge recommendation using the USBM method with a 95% confidence level at a distance of 200 m from residential areas is 3 kg. Longer distances allow an increase in the amount of explosives according to the calculation. Based on simulations in SHOTplus software, the optimal delay period recommendation is 67 ms as a control row while for echelon using 42 ms or 109 ms or can also use a control row of 109 ms and a delay period of 42 ms or 67 ms, both using 100 blast holes and 60 blast holes.
