FORMULASI DAN UJI ANTIOKSIDAN ORALLY DISSOLVING FILM EKSTRAK ETANOL BUNGA KECOMBRANG (Etlingera elatior) BERBASIS PULLULAN DENGAN METODE DPPH
Kecombrang flower (Etlingera elatior) contains various secondary metabolite compounds, one of which is flavonoids that have antioxidant activity. Orally Dissolving Film (ODF) was formulated to cover the unpleasant taste of kecombrang flowers. Pullulan is used as a polymer due to its ease of solubility in water and has good film-forming properties. This study aims to determine the best formulation of pullulan-based ODF with variations concentration of ethanol extract of kecombrang flowers and to determine the antioxidant activity (IC50) using the DPPH method. The determination of the best formula is based on organoleptic evaluation, film weight, folding endurance, pH, disintegration time, percent elongation, film thickness, and percentage moisture loss. Uniformity of drug content was carried out on the best formulation. Based on the results, the total flavonoid content was 77.0072 mgRE/g.
