Every student should have high interpersonal communication skills in their life. In their life. The fact is that at SMK Negeri 5 Palembang there are still students who have low interpersonal communication skills. The purpose of group guidance can be as a preventive effort and students can improve their interpersonal communication skills. This research aims to determine the effect of group guidance services on students' interpersonal communication skills at SMK Negeri 5 Palembang. This research uses the method of experimental method with a pre experimental design in the form of a one group pre-test and post-test design. The data collection method used is a questionnaire of interpersonal communication skills. Interpersonal communication skills questionnaire. The research subjects were 8 students of class XI BDP 2 at SMK Negeri 5 Palembang. 5 Palembang. The data analysis used was statistical non parametric with wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis show that It is known that from the spss table above it can be concluded that the value of asymp sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 where the asymp sig (2-tailed) value is smaller than 0.05, namely -2.524b, therefore H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore the service guidance services group guidance services have an effect on students' interpersonal communication skills. The results of this study is expected to be used as one of the services that counseling teachers can do to alleviate the problem of interpersonal communication skills by using group guidance. interpersonal communication skills by using group guidance.
