IDENTIFIKASI SERANGGA HAMA PADA TANAMAN KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea canephora) DI DESA PULAU DUKU KECAMATAN MEKAKAU ILIR, OKU SELATAN, SUMATERA SELATAN
Mekakau Ilir district is one of the districts with the highest coffee production in South OKU Regency. The majority of the population of Pulau Duku Village earns a living as coffee farmers, which indicates that coffee plants are the main source of income in Pulau Duku Village. However, coffee production in the village often experiences a decline. Based on information from the coffee farming community, that in 2021 there was a decrease in coffee yields which was suspected to be caused by several factors, including Plant Disturbing Organisms, one of which was insect pests. The identification of insect pests of coffee plants can provide an overview of the types of insect pests that attack robusta coffee plants (Coffea canephora) in Pulau Duku Village, that in the future insect pest attacks can be anticipated and the community can take appropriate pest control measures for coffee plants. Sampling was done by direct observation and collecting insect pests using various traps. There are 6 types of insect pests that attack robusta coffee plants (Coffea canephora) in Pulau Duku Village, Mekakau Ilir Subdistrict, South OKU, South Sumatra, which are green fleas (Coccus viridis), dompolan fleas (Planococcus citri), coffee fruit borers (Hypothenemus hampei), red stem borers (Zeuzera coffeae), branch and twig borers (Xylosandrus compactus) and leafhoppers (Sanuru indecora).
