INVENTARISASI JENIS-JENIS LAMUN DI PERAIRAN KETAPANG, LAMPUNG SELATAN
Seagrass ecosystems in Ketapang waters are one of the nursery, foraging and spawning areas for various aquatic organisms. However, the existence of various seagrass species can be disturbed by local community activities that threaten their growth and ecology. This study aims to inventory seagrass species and analyze the percentage of seagrass cover in Ketapang waters, South Lampung. This research was conducted using the quadrant transect method along 50 meters, each seagrass species found was observed and classified based on its morphology. Quadrant transect was used to obtain seagrass cover data. Water quality data in the form of pH, temperature, and salinity were also measured at the same time from each station. The results of this study have identified four seagrass species namely Cymodoceae ratundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides. Enhalus acoroides species was the most dominating species from each station. Seagrass cover at station 1 (57.50%) is included in the dense cover category, followed by station 2 (43.33%) and station 3 (39.17%) in the medium category, while station 4 (11.67%) is included in the sparse cover category. Ketapang's water quality is still relatively good for seagrass growth. Seagrass ecosystems in Ketapang waters need to be conserved to maintain the diversity of aquatic biota.
