REPRESENTASI KESETIAAN DAN PENGORBANAN PADA FILM JUNE & KOPI: ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES
This research analyzes the representation of loyalty and sacrifice in the film June & Kopi using Roland Barthes's semiotics with a descriptive qualitative approach that encompasses three layers of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth. The main focus of the research is how these meanings are generated through visuals, dialogue, and narration, as well as how the film reproduces and deconstructs social myths about dogs in Indonesian society. The analysis results show that this film not only depicts the emotional relationship between humans and animals but also dismantles the negative stigma against dogs by showcasing empathy, emotional attachment, and sacrifice through key scenes.
