ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA KESENJANGAN KELAS SOSIAL PADA FILM THE PLATFORM KARYA GALDER-GAZTELLU URUTTIA
ABSTRACT Film is a mass media that is used as a means of entertainment and art to be enjoyed by a wide audience. However, films can also be used as a means to convey messages or meaning to certain phenomena to a wide audience. This research aims to find out what message is conveyed in the film The Platform by Galder Gaztellu-urrutia, especially in terms of Social Class Inequality. This research uses a qualitative method of adequacy of references and persistence of observation using Roland Barthes semiotic theory using the Denotation, Connotation and Myth method which is used to examine the meaning of the scene or image, dialogue, location setting, actor behavior, and the attributes used to be able to see There is a depiction of social class inequality in the film The Platform The results of this research are that there is a picture of social class inequality in the form of exploitation of the upper class by the lower class, egoism, the clothes wom by the actor, location settings in the film and social class inequality occurs when there is exploitation of the upper class by the lower class and unequal distribution between classes creates the formation of social inequality and at some point the class at the bottom wili revolt against the class at the top Key Word : Semitoic Analysis, Social Class Inequality, The Platform Film.
