MODIFIKASI TATA LETAK BATERAI MESIN SADAP KARET ELEKTRIK.
The purpose of the study is to modify the electric rubber tapping machine through the position of the power source and determine the performance of the electric rubber tapping machine. The research has been carried out from September 2023 to October 2023 in Beriang Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research method used were technical design and data presentation using tables, images and graphs. The implementation of the research was carried out in three stages, namely a design approach consisting of design criteria, functional and structural design, manufacturing and assembly stages as well as testing of functional, structural and performance designs with research parameters consisting of tapping capacity, volume capacity, skin consumption, actual working capacity, theoretical working capacity and efficiency. The results showed that the modification of the battery layout is directly proportional to the increase in time, latex weight, skin consumption and machine work efficiency. The electric rubber tapping machine after modification produces a tapping time of 5.32 seconds/tree, a latex weight of 69.57 g, a leather consumption of 0.824 cm3, and a machine working efficiency of 69.01% while the electric rubber tapping machine before modification produces a tapping time of 5.62 seconds/tree, a latex weight of 66.32 g, a leather consumption of 0.789cm3, and an efficiency of 62.31%.
