PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK TERHADAP MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI ANGKATAN TAHUN 2021-2022
The development of digital technology is marked by the increasing use of the social media platform TikTok in Indonesia. TikTok provides creative content that serves not only as entertainment but also as a source of information about entrepreneurship. Considering that the entrepreneurship ratio in Indonesia is low compared to other countries, it is essential to enhance the interest in becoming an entrepreneur. This study aims to determine the influence of TikTok social media on the entrepreneurial interest of economics education students at Sriwijaya University, class of 2021-2022.This research employs a non-experimental quantitative method with an associative approach. The sample consists of 64 students determined using Slovin's formula. Data collection techniques utilize a Likert scale questionnaire, with data analysis involving descriptive and inferential statistics, including the product-moment correlation test and t-test. The results indicate a strong relationship between the two variables, with a correlation value of r = 0.6923, and TikTok's influence on entrepreneurial interest is 47.93%. The t-test shows significant results (t_calculated = 7.55 > t_table = 1.67), leading to the conclusion that TikTok has a positive and significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of students.Thus, TikTok has the potential to be an effective tool for providing entrepreneurial information to students. By wisely utilizing this platform, it can encourage students to start their own businesses and provide insights for educators and aspiring entrepreneurs on how to leverage it to enhance entrepreneurial interest.
