HUBUNGAN ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL KELUARGA DAN STRES AKADEMIK PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA NEGERI 10 PALEMBANG
Academic stress is a common psychological condition experienced by students due to various academic demands such as assignments, exams, and performance pressure. This study aims to determine the relationship between family social support and academic stress among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach with a structured purposive sampling technique, involving 84 students who met specific criteria. The instruments used were the family social support scale and the academic stress scale. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho correlation test. The results showed that the level of family social support was in the moderate category, while the level of academic stress ranged from moderate to high. However, there was no significant relationship between the two variables (r = 0.023; p = 0.834). These findings indicate that academic stress is likely influenced by other factors outside of family support, such as academic workload, school environment, or students’ coping abilities. Keywords: Family social support, academic stress, students.
