Susanti, Ester Mei - Personal Name;

ESTER MEI SUSANTI. 08051382025103. Zooplankton Biodiversity Based on Different Depths in the Waters of the Musi River Estuary, Banyuasin Regency. (Supervisors: Dr. Isnaini, S.Si., M.Si and Dr. Riris Aryawati, S.T., M.Si) The estuary of the river is included in estuary waters, the mouth of the Musi River is a water that contains a lot of nutrients from river water that flows to the ocean, with the influence of physical and chemical processes and a water that is mostly used for water transportation route activities so that it has an impact on decreasing water quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the type and composition of zooplankton, analyze the abundance of zooplankton and analyze the relationship between biodiversity and abundance of zooplankton with environmental parameters at different depths in the mouth of the Musi River, Banyuasin Regency. The research was conducted in September 2023, sampling and parameter measurements were carried out in the waters of the Musi River Estuary, Banyuasin Regency. Zooplankton samples were analyzed for parameters on abundance, biodiversity and their relationship using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. The composition of zooplankton is most abundant in the waters of the Musi River Estuary at a depth of 0 m as many as 15 classes of 49 genera. The composition of copepods at a depth of 6 m is the largest composition with a percentage of 60 %. The abundance of zooplankton in the waters of the Musi River Estuary, Banyuasin Regency at a depth of 0 m has the highest abundance of 156.422 ind/m3. Zooplankton biodiversity at depths of 0 m, 3 m and 6 m has a moderate diversity and there are no dominant types of zooplankton. The relationship between biodiversity and zooplankton abundance with environmental parameters is influenced by current, salinity and temperature.
