KELIMPAHAN DAN STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS ZOOPLANKTON DI DAERAH TANGKAPAN IKAN (FISHING GROUND) PADA ALAT TANGKAP BOTTOM GILLNET DAN SCOOPNET, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Zooplankton play a crucial role as primary consumers, bridging the gap between producers and higher trophic level animals. This study aimed to analyze water parameters, zooplankton abundance and community structure, and the relationship between water parameters and zooplankton community structure in fishing grounds using bottom gillnet and scoopnet in Banyuasin. The results revealed the presence of 21 genera and 5 larvae from 10 classes belonging to 6 phyla: Annelida, Arthropoda, Chaetognatha, Mollusca, Rotifera, and Cliophora. The zooplankton community was dominated by Arthropoda (17 genera and 2 larva), Mollusca (2 genera), Chaetognatha (1 genus), Annelida (1 genus), Rotifera (1 genus), and Cliophora (1 genus) and egg. Zooplankton abundance ranged 4,325 - 11,846 ind/m3, with diversity indices ranging 1.79 - 2.59, evenness indices 0.68 - 0.96, and dominance indices 0.08 - 0.20.
